Our best baby carrier: which Omni is which?

Super practical, comfortable, breathable, with four carrying positions and ergonomic for both baby and carrier - that’s our Omni baby carrier. It all started with the Omni 360, which is now called the Omni Classic, which was followed by  the Omni Dream and Omni Breeze, and now the Omni Deluxe. 

The Omni has been our most popular and, in our opinion, the best baby carrier in our range ever since it was launched. It is a real all-rounder, suitable from newborn (7lbs) through toddlerhood (45lbs) and with the right carrying position for every situation! Baby can be worn on your front inwards facing from birth and then outwards facing from approx. 5 months and on your hip or back from approx. 6 months. It fits a wide variety of parents and children while offering maximum comfort, meaning it has already provided many families with countless wonderful hours of carrying. 

Anyone who puts their baby in an Omni baby carrier for the first time will quickly realise how intuitive it is to put on. And thanks to the well-padded shoulder straps and the wide waist belt with lumbar support, long walks or even hikes with your little one close to your heart are feasible and comfortable.

The new Omni Deluxe baby carrier in a simpler design

The Omni Deluxe still offers the comfort, ease of use and adaptability of all the Omni baby carriers that came before it. It is also still available in three types of material - soft and cosy cotton, hypoallergenic and durable linen and breathable mesh fabric. But one important improvement, the mesh version is now made entirely of mesh, which further improves breathability and air circulation. The new carrier will also come in a wide range of colours. All the colours you already know from the Omni Dream and Omni Breeze plus two additional colours, a reddish-brown called Canyon Clay and a light blue called Serene Blue. Its ergonomic design is even slimmer and more elegant than that of the previous Omni baby carriers, as all the buckles and buttons for adjusting the baby carrier are no longer visible in the Deluxe version. In addition, the adjustment of the headrest to newborn mode is now even more elegant thanks to new button technology and sleek reflectivity on the front logo provides extra safety while out at night. The result is a beautifully simple and stylish overall look.

The new Omni Deluxe also has much more storage space to offer. This means that everything you could possibly need on a babywearing trip fits into the carrier and you no longer need to take a bag with you. It has a total of six(!) pockets and storage options: 

• A large detachable pocket with zip, in which you can store your smartphone, keys, sunglasses or snacks and which you can attach to the front of the waist belt, but which you can also attach to other places on the carrier, for example to the shoulder strap or the lumbar support, depending on the carrying position. 
• A small pocket on the side of the back panel of the carrier, which also has an elasticated strap to which you can attach burp cloths, toys or similar items.
• A second small side pocket on the opposite side of the back panel, which offers you space for sunglasses, a bank card, cash or keys. 
• A larger pocket with a zip in the lumbar support for snacks, your smartphone or small wallet.
• And two additional, non-closable side pockets on the waist belt, where you can also put your smartphone, keys or cards and cash - or whatever you need!

So you really do have everything you need quickly to hand - without having to lug around extra bags.

More times than we can count parents tell us that they and their partner share the baby carrier and as they have different shape or size bodies they adjust it to fit each time so they wish there was an easier way to remember how they had it set up. Or they use the baby carrier once for their newborn and the next time for the older sibling, which requires different settings. So we came up with a solution. Now switching between users is now much easier thanks to new and unique markings on the straps. It gives you a simple orientation that helps you to get to the perfect settings for you and your little one again.
